Annual average rainfall
The HS2 London-West Midlands Environmental Statement published by the Department for Transport in November 2013, defines ‘annual average rainfall’ as:
‘Average amount of precipitation falling at a specified site recorded by the Meteorological Office, which gives a measure of the overall wetness of the local climate.’
